CMP recognized for third consecutive year as one of the best paying companies

For the third year in a row, Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CMP) has been recognized as one of the best paying companies in Chile. The award, granted by the Chilean Commodities Exchange (Bolsa de Productos de Chile) and the Chilean Association of Entrepreneurs (ASECH), in partnership with El Mercurio, highlights public and private organizations that pay their suppliers on time.

In this edition, CMP was honored in the Mining category, alongside two other companies in the sector, reinforcing its leadership in best payment practices. Additionally, the company received the “On-Time Payment to SMEs” seal, which recognizes organizations committed to supporting the development and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Currently, more than 40% of CMP’s suppliers are headquartered in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions, receiving payments within 15 days of invoice issuance. SMEs from other regions are paid within 20 days, while other suppliers receive payment between 23 and 28 days.

Since August this year, CMP has also implemented a pioneering system in the industry: SMEs in Atacama and Coquimbo linked to mineral transportation now receive their payments in just seven business days, setting a new standard in the sector.

“For CMP, this recognition is a great achievement that aligns with our strategy of staying connected with the territories where we operate and, above all, with smaller companies that must receive timely payments, as this enables them to grow and participate in more operations. We will continue working to make this practice an industry standard and contribute to the economic development of our communities,” said Carlos Sepúlveda, CMP’s Chief Financial Officer.

The Best Paying Companies award seeks to promote greater transparency in invoice approval, facilitate SME access to capital markets, provide accurate payment information, and encourage self-regulation through best practices.

“In this decade, we have seen a sustained improvement in payment times, which directly impacts the liquidity and growth potential of SMEs. Proof of this is that for the 2025 edition, 33 of the 57 awarded entities were recognized once again, reflecting the integration of strategies to fulfill payment commitments within their administrative structures,”stated Christopher Bosler, CEO of the Chilean Commodities Exchange.

Out of the 57 awarded entities, 33 were recognized again in 2025—including CMP, one of the three distinguished in the Mining sector—underscoring its commitment to transparency and to strengthening the value chain alongside its suppliers.

These achievements are aligned with CMP’s policies and reflect its commitment to SMEs and local suppliers, key players in sustainable territorial development, expanding the value chain responsibly and reliably.
