Compañía Minera del Pacífico, in line with its Process Risk Management (PRM) model, is committed to effectively and sustainably planning the management of its energy resources, promoting controls that enable efficiency, improvements that accelerate the use of renewable sources, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. By generating continuous learning to meet the objectives of our strategy, focusing on excellence for optimal energy performance, we commit to:

Implement an energy management system based on process risk management (PRM), with an emphasis on compliance with legal requirements and energy efficiency.

Train staff on the importance and practices of energy efficiency.

Focusing on continuous improvement processes for energy performance based on GRP.

Promote an organizational dynamic that prioritizes energy efficiency in all operations.

Contribute to reducing the carbon footprint in all its processes in alignment with the company’s strategy.

Increase the share of renewable energy sources in the company’s energy mix.

Conduct regular energy audits to identify savings and efficiency opportunities.

To provide a framework for establishing and reviewing energy objectives and targets.

Include energy efficiency as a key criterion in the design and construction of new facilities or in the renovation of existing ones.

Ensure the availability of the information and resources needed to achieve energy objectives and goals.

Include support for the acquisition of energy-efficient services or products that have an impact on energy performance.

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness, and will be updated as necessary to reflect changes in the company’s operations and objectives.

This policy is part of the Energy Management System – based on the ISO 50001:2018 standard – which is a work system that allows the organization of activities to improve energy performance, through a continuous improvement process.
