We participated in the campaign "Atacama Helps the South".

Following the fires that occurred in the southern part of the country this summer, the Regional Government, the Presidential Delegation and the various departments and other agencies of the Atacama region joined in a campaign to support the disaster area. Together with them, CMP and other mining companies such as Candelaria, Caserones, Atacama Kozan and Pucobre, plus agricultural companies and public and private institutions, more than 100 tons of aid were collected and distributed in seven trucks sent to the commune of Quillón, in the Ñúble region.

One of the main efforts of the government was to coordinate the support of the mining industry, which helped with various items such as food, water, tools and personal protection equipment, among others. The Seremi of Mining, Carlos Ulloa, said that "we would like to thank the help we have received from the main mining companies in our region. All of them have formally collaborated and there are still companies that will continue to provide assistance".

María Cristina Ruidiaz, head of CMP's territorial management in the Copiapó Valley, said that "it is important for CMP to participate in events that unite us as a region, where the alliance between the mining industry, local and regional governments and companies from other sectors generates a great strength to contribute our grain of sand and help the territories that need it most at this time".
