Children from Guayacán share with Chocolo the dog and his friends.

30 Nov, 2022

A thousand people arrived this Wednesday, August 31, at the esplanade of the Guayacán church to celebrate the closing of the month of children, an activity organized by Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CMP) to provide an unforgettable afternoon of recreation and entertainment for the family.

The main attraction for the children was the Chocolo Dog and his friends, who made the crowd of chocolovers laugh, dance and sing along with their parents, moms and grandparents to sing along to hits such as "Los bailes del Chocolo", "Juguemos en el campo" and "Adivina, adivina", performed together with Josefina the hen, Pancho the pig, Moñito the monkey and Lila.

During the event, CMP's Territorial Management Superintendent, Yasmina Cortés, said that for the company "it is very important to collaborate with this type of activities for the family, because we understand that the promotion of culture and entertainment are key for people to have a better quality of life".

And along these lines, María Díaz, one of the attendees who came with her daughter to see the children's show, valued the opportunity "because there were a lot of people and we enjoyed it a lot, it was super entertaining to have the chance to attend and that it was free", the same fun that Sofía, a little girl, also shared, who happily said "I had a great time and I liked all the songs".

The show not only featured Perro Chocolo, but also included performances by the magician Héctor Lion, the folk trio "Los Compadres" and the singer Ana María Méndez, local artists who also connected with the audience.

The initiative is part of a work that CMP has developed together with the community of Guayacán, aimed at developing cultural and recreational activities that complement the operational improvements that the company has implemented in the port area.
